So I’m a teacher now. Starting this coming Spring I will be teaching 7th Grade English Literature. I’ll still be working in the school’s technology department, but I’ll be faculty in addition to my previous responsibilities. All this plus being the Swimming and Diving team moderator. It’s going to be a busy Spring, but I’m really excited to finally have an opportunity to get in a classroom. It’s also nice because this particular class is essentially “pre-built” in that all of the course materials are already written. I’ve made my own, but never had the chance to use them in a real classroom setting so I think it will be more comfortable this way.
But wait! There’s more good news. BFG has replaced my video card and it is currently being shipped back to me! So in a day or two I can stop trying to get my laptop to crank out an acceptable amount of FPS and play on my real machine again. Game on dude.
“It’s also nice because this particular class is essentially “pre-built” in that all the of the course materials are already written.”
“…in that all THE of the course materials are already written.” I have waited soooo long for this! You finally made a typo you bastard! HA! Joel Conary is mortal after all.
Congradulations on the job.
I hear that you guys moved to a house too. Hope things keep getting better for you guys.
You typo writing bastard! (sorry, haven’t gotten it out of my system yet)
you’re teaching 7th graders— poor you! best of luck!
Thanks for the correction Byro. Also it’s congraTulations. As long as we’re going there
. And thanks both of you, I’m super excited.
HA, dammit I’m still down.
At least I have the upper hand in math.
Mad props to you man; the world definitely needs all of the great teachers it can get (which I’m sure you will be). Rock on.
Hey, congrats Joel! I can envision your first lecture now… “Kids there’s one thing we need to get straight right away. It’s nu-klEE-r, not nuk-Ular.”
